Sleepy Valentine

Valentine's Day is a bit different for me.  I'm not really the chocolate, flowers and mushy love kinda girl that so many of my fellow women might be. I want surprises and love every day, not on a day that everyone else gets that feeling. I don't need flowers and chocolates, just hugs.  However, I do enjoy that Valentine's Day is like an extra reminder for people to be kind and to show some love. To everyone. Not just their partner.

I want Cameron to think of Valentine's Day as a day to be thankful for love, thankful for kindness...all kinds of love and all kinds of kindness. We took a treat to the teacher's at Cameron's school to brighten their day. Tim thought of a memorable/bonding gift for Cameron, something special for the two of them. We had a family night and laughed. We talked about how we've grown since last year's Valentine's Day. Those moments are my Valentine's Day, but they happen more often than once a year.


Valentine's Day is happy, but the day after Valentine's Day is happier.
Why?
It just so happens to be my Grandparents Wedding Anniversary.
It's actually their 55th Wedding Anniversary!  Their display of love and commitment, their support of family, of dreams of the whole package has taught me so much.

Spring is around the corner, love is in the air, life is a gift. There's my version of mushy love.
