9 Months

Dear Little B,

Nine Months! Phew!
I would say that you've been a part of our world for as long as you were in my tummy cooking, but that's not entirely true - especially since you took your sweet time!
Either way though, nine months is huge and so . are . you.
Not in a bad way mind you, in a gloriously, perfect, Cameron kind of huge.

It's funny to watch people's reactions when your Dad and I answer their questions of how much you weigh, or of how old you are. I'm not worried, you and the other boys in your class at school are all about the same size and the same age. You've created your own little buddy system!

I'm starting to see a lot more adventure and curiousness out of you. Your expressions continue to make me laugh, and I love busting you playing with something that you're really interested in. I catch you trying to figure out nobs and handles, different surfaces and buttons. You're intrigued by anything that's being poured or comes from a faucet. It's only a matter of time before I find you in the dogs water bowl.

You're on the move and it's hysterical to call for you and have you laugh or make a noise back at me. If only we could understand our gibberish, for now sounds and noises do the trick.

You're teeth continue to pop up and we sometimes have a few moody struggles because they sometimes cause you discomfort. That drool rash comes and goes too. The trick is to keep the pacifier away, but when you're teeth hurt, and that's all you want - we tend to give in.

Luckily, since we live in Texas, our time outdoors is pretty regular, but I'm super excited about spring and warmer weather coming.  I know you'll love it too. The swings, the wagon, playing in the grass, eating outside -- it's all kinds of delicious goodness for you.

We're getting a little more exciting with your food every week. You love snacks, who can blame you really, you are a product of your Dad and I. Yogurt is as good as gold and so far your teachers say that Cream of Wheat disgusts you! You're still trying to get used to the Rice Krispies and I was corrected that we should definitely do Cheerios before we do Honey Nut Cheerios! Your Dad sneaks you a bite of his milkshake every now and then, but that will stop for a while now since we gave it up for Lent. I'm sorry.

You make us laugh every day. I hope we return the favor daily too.
Friends are around every corner.
You love the musical instruments at school.
Speaking of school, there are teachers that come to your room just to say hi to you and get a smile - FLIRT!
When you get excited, your whole body shows it.
You love being on your Daddy's shoulders, but sometimes it's too soon after you ate. Shh, you don't always tell him that.

You still don't say Mama, and when I say it to you, all you do is laugh. We'll get there though.
The television remote fascinates you.
There's something so fun about putting one of your toy baskets on its side and watching you dig through it, methodically picking through your toys and playing with specific ones. I often wonder why you pick certain things first.
I love overalls, and you in them makes my heart melt.
Your Dad teases about being a stay-at-home Dad so that he can be with you always. He calls you his "wing man"! I told him he should look into being your agent. :)

We love you to the moon and back Little B!
Happy GLORIOUS 9 months punkin' head!
