A Mom's Guide to Online Shopping!

stolen from here
Yes, that's right...I'm an online shopper. It's what I live by!
I'm still trying to figure out how I can do my grocery shopping online.

I always did a lot of retail shopping online before Cameron came along, but now anything and everything is free game to purchase online.

I realized this was becoming an issue when we were setting out our "bulk trash" for our yearly bulk trash pick up this week. Everything laying on the curb was packaging from my many online purchases.

I buy household items from soap.com: laundry detergent, dryer sheets, cleaning supplies, etc.
I buy everything I can from diapers.com: baby food/formula, diapers/wipes, toys and books.
I buy dog food and treats from a couple of different spots depending on who is offering the free shipping.
I buy clothes, shoes, gifts and so much more online.
If I don't have to go to a store, I am a much happier person.
The only catch is that you have to be good at timing because it's going to take a day or two to be delivered.

Recently, I found an online consignment store with children's clothes and it was as if the heaven's opened up! I love buying things at consignment stores for Cameron, especially play clothes and pajamas. I've noticed a trend though. Of the stores that I've ventured out to around Austin there seems to be 2 racks of boys clothes and the rest of the store is filled with girl clothes and accessories. I realize boys are a bit more hard on their clothing and really girls have so many other things to choose from (dresses, skirts, etc.), but doing the shopping online gives me a lot more to choose from.

The other bonus to this specific online shop is that they will send you a  bag to go through your child's clothes and sell back to the shop. I've just recently placed my first order, and expect to see the box in a couple of days. I'm excited to review my purchases and the shop once they arrive!

On the other hand, Tim is a bit worried that if I continue to find good deals online, my shopping addiction and the amount of packaging that we go through will also continue to grow.
