We've got some catching up to do

* We went to a fundraiser recently and found ourselves bidding only on children's items in the silent auction. Then we teased ourselves and went to find something else that we could bid on that was for us...we ended up choosing a fishing tournament and then Tim asked, "Can Cameron come too?" (fyi: we didn't win anything, which is good since Christmas is right around the corner.)

* We still do the real deal when it comes to Christmas trees. This year we found the perfect tree IN SHORTS! That's right people, it's been amazing weather, but it's definitely not feeling like winter. or December for that matter.  We've actually gotten our tree at the same place for the last 9 years I think, they loved seeing Cameron and even trimmed a piece of the trunk for us to use to make an ornament for him. I'm excited to do this craft with him next weekend!

*  My youngest Sister got into TCU, her #1 choice! She's got like 8 more applications out there under review, but she's got her #1 in the bag already! We're so proud of her and really excited that she and my other sister will be making memories together.  Plus it's the perfect distance, not too far and not too close. I only wish I could spend a day as a college student with them. Maybe we'll just pretend.

*  People keep asking us what Cameron is getting for Christmas and we keep teasing with answers like:  a box, a college account, diapers.  We know that there will be lots to open, so we're not so focused on getting him something just to get him something.  I'm having fun soaking in all of the holiday moments, we don't need presents -- we got the best possible present 6 and a half months ago!

*  I chopped about 5 inches off of my hair on Saturday. I have spent at least 3 mornings looking at myself in the mirror and saying, "no, it's not a mommy haircut".  I'm getting used to it though.  I wasn't really planning on cutting that much off, but then my Sister-in-law sent me a picture of my niece and I from 6 years ago and I pretty much looked exactly the same. It was time to switch it up a bit.

*  I have to find time to finish my Christmas shopping.

*  I can't wait to work on my Christmas cards.  It's probably one of my favorite things.

*  Family Feud is doing auditions in Austin next month and we think that my family might really have a chance. I think we're going to go for it.

*  Tim knows all the words to Rubber Duckie. You know the song that Ernie sings? It's a-mazing! I mean the guy has real talent. Don't tell him I told you though, he'll only do it for Cameron.

*  We live for moments like these.



*  Oh and did you hear that Kate Middleton is pregnant? Why do I think she seems so normal and down to earth?  More importantly, why do I find this so exciting?
