* We converted Payton's bed back to the crib. I like to think in a more positive light and tell myself that it's not a parenting fail and more of a reminder that my children are different. Just because Cameron was in a big-boy-bed at this age doesn't mean that it's the right move for Payton. For whatever reason, P lasted about 3ish months in that toddler bed and then BAM the week between Christmas & New Year's he decided that he wasn't having it any further. We tried everything - even the 30 minutes of tough love to see if he would figure it out himself. Alas, the crib side went back up and we decided we'll try again in a few months.
* I looked at my car yesterday as I was getting something out of the passenger side and saw piece of chex cereal on the running board. Yes, that's the little step on the outside of the car. How it's managed to hang on for dear life for who knows how long, is beyond me. Do you think people at stop lights see that and go, "oh, nice wheels... wait, is that a chex?" I feel like I could come up with a pretty good children's story titled, "The Adventures of the Missing Chex".
* Cameron has started to "quiz" Payton on words.
C: "Payton, can you say 'remember'"?
P: "memba'
C: "Can you say 'sorry'"?
P: "nsary"
* You know you're getting older when you purchase a foam roller and night cream with anti-aging properties all in the same day.
* The Biggest Loser was on the other night as I was cleaning up the kitchen. Then Tim and I ate a cupcake. I decided it was pretty terrible to eat a cupcake in the same room as The Biggest Loser. Confession: I turned around so they wouldn't see me. Oh, and did I mention that I didn't really make a resolution this year, instead just made some family-style-goals. Hmm. Maybe that wasn't such a wise decision.
* Tim made a game of rolling grapes to the kids (across the table) at dinner last night. What started as funny, got a bit out of hand quickly. I'm a little nervous that we may be out somewhere when they decide to bring this game back when it's not so funny, but until then - who cares.
* I think I am a far cry from being considered a control freak. Then I lose control and I rethink that statement.
* I talked about getting another dog with Cameron the other day. Big Mistake. PS - now it's all I can think about too.
