Dear Little B,
10 Days. TEN!
We're so close now!
I watch you move around my belly like an alien and sometimes I get visions of the movie Spaceballs where the alien pops out of the guys stomach and starts singing with a top hat.
I can't wait to see your face, to lock eyes with you and to smell your new baby-ness. I am anxious to count your toes and wrap your sweet, little fingers around mine. When I try to start picturing how it will all happen in my head I get so over-emotional that I tear up and have to think of something completely different so that I don't get too anxious and worked up. I'm so excited for you Little B, so excited for the magic! When your Daddy and I got married I was the same way and when the moment finally arrived where I walked down the aisle it all poured out when I saw everyone that was there to support us on our big day. Now, with this milestone, I have a feeling I will handle my emotions much in the same way. Sometimes you hold onto things so tight that when they finally reach the point of no return there's just no turning back. Finally meeting you face to face will be more than heart-soaring; my heart may just pop.
Your Daddy has been getting on me about picking out a name for you, but I know that the perfect name will come to us once we see you. Really though, you may always be Little B to me. Just think of it as a cool rap name.
We all went to the doctor today and there's not a whole lot of news to share. You're looking good and it could be any day now, but for now we're just playing the waiting game. This weekend is Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby and I think that Daddy of yours is going to try and make me do all sorts of crazy things to get you to start your journey into this world. There have already been a lot of pep talks and every night he lays with you telling you stories and talking to you about all sorts of silly things. I hope that tradition takes root for long after your born.
You've got 10 days baby. TEN! I love you more than words already...now get a move on! and don't make me tell you twice!
